About the Project SPEED

Project SPEED is committed to bridge the gap between the labor market's evolving demands and the skills provided by VET schools. Through the development of a micro-APPs training for developing the Global Employability Master Skills, SPEED addresses the urgent need for VET students to acquire future-ready skills. This innovative platform is based on gamification methodology to ensure optimum engagement of students and is useful for learning critical employability skills, including innovation management and emotional intelligence, in four languages: English, Croatian, Danish, and German. This project represents a pivotal step towards aligning VET education with labor market requirements, enhancing the employability of VET students.

PROJECT GOAL

Project SPEED seeks to empower VET teachers with digital tools and techniques, fostering an environment conducive to the development of transversal competencies among students. These competencies are essential not only in their chosen fields but across various sectors, thus increasing their employability. The project also aims to widely disseminate its results among VET schools, ensuring the platform's sustained use and impact beyond the funding period. This objective underscores SPEED's commitment to long-term change in VET education, focusing on acquiring skills that will enhance employability in the dynamic job market.  

PROJECT ACTIVITIES

Project SPEED will be implemented  over 12 months and the main activity is the design and creation of the GEMS-mATP "Global Employability Master Skills - microAPPs Training Platform". The GEMS-mATP (prototype) will enhance the employability of VET students by increasing key competencies in the following six skiils that are collectively addressed as the "Global Employability Master Skills".

PROJECT RESULTS

The project coordinator IBC, a Danish secondary B-VET school, OTS, a Croatian secondary VET school, and META4, an Austrian SME developing EdTech solutions, will enhance their awareness of European dimension of APPs based competence development for labour market needs.  

The project will develop the following results:

1. a micro-Apps Training Platform that offers 48 micro-Apps in English, Danish, Croatian, and German for learning of "Global Employability Master Skills"

2. a Dissemination Conference
